The past few months has seen Evil Alien locked away in their bunker, a large, reverberant and poorly lit space in the underground and dilapidated ‘east side’ of Britain’s second city.
Countless hours residing in a studio sees the embryonic duo convey and emulate the eerie sounds and echoes that ensued from their somewhat desolate urban backdrop resulting in two brand new tracks set for release this Spring.
An old black and white T.V/VCR and turntable for company,time was spent studying the music composed by the maverick Bernard Herman in early Hitchcock and Scorsese re-runs.Kraftwerk’s darkest creation ‘Radioactivity’ was never far from reach and the works of John Barry,Paul Lansky and Philip Glass were studiously observed.
Evil Alien have evolved from the post-Industrial heartland of their home city excavating their own influences emerging bright eyed, optimistic and keen to herald their arrival.
